Friends beyond human company!

I was so proud of myself that night. I killed nearly 50-100 (actually I didn’t have the exact count) lives.  The sky was so gloomy there are numerous trees around my place; they kept coming in high speed. I closed all the doors and ventilators and felt very protective and went for sleep. Before sleeping, I make sure that they didn’t disturb me anymore till I awake to battle with them. I switched off  the lights and sneaked into my blanket.

I have a habit of visiting my actions for the day as a short recap before closing my eyes. Even that long and tiresome day I can’t help myself to stop the recap of the day. I really skipped the cruelty of myself to many lifeless corpses out there; I was completely in the realm of my own family.  My thoughts slipped away and just listened to the cats and dogs outside; I didn’t even imagine about the lives of poor souls who tented outside for the next day’s battle, I enjoyed the drizzles splashing through the windows.

After few minutes I dropped my consciousness and the subconscious took over the rein. An annoying noise disturbed me a lot; however, instead of stopping the noise I keenly listened to understand the sound. There were two and they were talking,

‘Hey, I have to suck the blood out from this giant’

The other one told, ‘Yeah, this giant moving thing killed our folk, I will be the first one to kill this person’.

They both were just shouted and started crying for their kith and kin that are dead. By denoting me they said, ‘this brutal wouldn’t have known that how much struggle we have been crossing for our food and shelter.’

I was in complete rage as the noise was so annoying for me… Still, I can’t stop hearing them.

One cried and said: ‘Yes dear, we are born with uncertain seasons. We can’t survive summer or winter, in the void of day light without water and trees; we depend solely on blood for survival. These giants have so many liters of blood and can’t they spare a drop for our survival? HORRIBLE BEASTS!’

When I heard the words “horrible beasts”, I woke up from the bed and switched on the lights. I drank some water and was thinking over and over whether my act was right or wrong. Suddenly a buzzing sound annoyed me, as an instinct action, I took the electric bat and waved a mosquito was burnt alive on the electric bat. Though I don’t prefer to kill living beings brutally, I can’t help myself or think rationally when I wave the bat to kill mosquitoes. Yes, that was a night of mosquitoes hunt and the mosquitoes were right, I am a horrible beast to them!
